The Active Parent program has been launched, introducing new cash benefits for families. It is intended to make it easier to reconcile the tasks related to parenthood and professional activation. Applications for benefits can be submitted to ZUS from October 1 of this year.

The details were discussed during today’s press conference by the Podkarpackie Voivode Teresa Kubas-Hul, the director of the ZUS Branch in Rzeszów Mirosław Jarosz and Anna Brzostek, head of the Customer Service and Correspondence Department.
– “Under the program, you can receive the following benefits: active parents at work – this is a new benefit; active in a nursery – it will replace the subsidy for a nursery and active at home – it will replace the family care capital,” said the voivode.
The choice of one of the three options will depend on the parent's decision, assuming that only one of the benefits can be paid for the same child for a given month.
The parent will also have the option of changing benefits multiple times, i.e. resigning from one form of support and switching to another, with the proviso that in a given month, for a given child, the parent will only be able to receive one of the benefits they have chosen.
Importantly, applications can only be submitted electronically!
