ABOUT THE FILM "THE A-TEAM"
Four cross-dependent alcoholics, in order to save their therapy center, undertake to smuggle two tanks of spirits across Poland. For their own safety, they kidnap their therapist. However, the journey turns out to be more dangerous than they expected, because they are followed by a customs officer (Magdalena Cielecka), who is not quite who she claims to be. From that moment on, everything gets complicated. Will Leszek (Michał Żurawski), Wiola (Danuta Stenka), Dominik (Mikołaj Kubacki), Karolina (Maria Sobocińska) and Wojtek (Łukasz Simlat) manage to complete the mission, but also not succumb to their weaknesses and not interrupt the therapy?
- I hope that after watching the film, viewers will have some reflection, because a large part of our nation does not even realize that they are addicted. I also hope that "Team A(A)" will leave people with the feeling that it is always worth fighting for yourself and your loved ones. That the support of another person has a really great power and can bring back those who have lost their way to the right path - he said before the premiere. Michal Zurawski.
- For people struggling with addictions, "Team A(A)" can become an inspiration for change, because it presents the road to sobriety as achievable. Very bumpy, but still real. And the form in which it does it emphasizes something that is often missed in productions with similar themes: that psychotherapy does not mean changing life to a monumental and deadly serious one, and that humor is an important element in the fight for oneself - says about the film an addiction therapist, an integrative psychotherapist Anna Prokop.
